Required Fields

Setup your own required fields

Administrators may indicate which fields are required, and not required. They may also setup with Modules (Information / Learning Outcomes / Timeline / Evaluation / Assessment / Uploads) are required.

To help implement this large-scale change, we will leave your thinktank configured exactly the way you have it currently. The administrator will then have the ability to initiate changes of required fields in their own time frame.

Everything will run as it normally does, unless you want to change it.

Templates by Program Type

Administrators may setup templates by Program Type. Each template will be associated with Required Modules as well as required field options.

For example:

If a program has a Program Type of "Lecture Series", which never uses the field Materials & Resources or the Learning Outcomes Module, administrators can setup a template for all Lecture Series Programs to not require those fields or modules.

This is huge, and allows you to tailor the information collected per type of program. In addition, you may use Program Types to indicate different departmental programs, then change what is required by department.

To implement this portion, our staff will spend time with each thinktank administrator. It's easy to do, but needs some instruction to understand all the implications that come with initiating it.

Approval Process including Financial Management

Financial Managers may now be included in the Approval Processl

The program approval process now allows a Financial Approval step. Administrators may setup this step by associating a "Financial Manager" to a specific Funding Request (from the Funding Request Drop Down). As the programmer requests funds, the financial manager is sent an email, as a request to "approve funds". The Financial Manager may login, review the program and approve (or not approve) the funding. The Supervisor and Financial Manager work together for final approval of the program.

Program Information Labels

Administrators may change the label of the input field

The thinktank orginally had static labels for the information text fields (ie: Focus, Description, Program Goal or Objective, etc). With the latest update, we now allow the Administrator to create their own labels, such that the information better suits your programming model and departmental terminology.

Firewall Improvements

We have updated and improved our Thinktank Firewall, for better security.

Weekly Opening: Automated Emails

Weekly Status Emails Added

Weekly emails will be automatically sent each Sunday night / Monday morning, giving each supervisor who elects to receive them, a status of their programs.
