Thinktank, Version 4.0 - Updates

PROGRAMMING MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Version 4.0 is our answer to many suggestions from our current clients. We have added some exciting modules, available on May 15, 2009 (unless otherwise specified below).

More Robust Reporting

Upgraded Reportin Features

Included in this year's updates is an exciting new reporting feature. The feature now includes a criteria of information on which you may search, coupled with a list of data values to view.

• Choose your search criteria
• Choose your information columns
• Export each report into .xls or Excel

 

Approval Resubmitting

Programmers may now resubmit their program for approval

If the first approval submission results in a "Pending" status, that program can be modified and resubmitted for approval. Programmers and Supervisors can now move the program through the process as many times as necessary.

 

View Only Mode after Approved

Programmers cannot change program information after the program has been approved

After the program has been approved, the program information is placed in "View Only" mode. To make changes to the program information (Tab: Information and Learning Outcomes), their supervisor must place the program in "Pending Revision" status. Once the changes are made, the programmer may Re-Submit their program for approval..

 

 

Additional Program Information

New fields have been added to the Program Info Tab

The thinktank now collects more detailed information for each program in the following areas:

URL:

• URL (eg: http://www.youTube.com/~~)

BUDGET:

• Estimated Costs
• Funding Request
  drop down: modifiable. (ie: No funds requested, PO, 1180 Form, Other ...)
• Comments:

OUTSIDE INVOLVMENT ?

  drop down list, modifiable: (ie: Speaker, Faculty, Non-Faculty, Administrative Support, other)

Evaluations, Private Comments Box

 

Available by September 1, 2009One comment field will be added to the evaluations, which is only seen by the supervisors. Programmers may now submit comments that are not viewable to other programmers. This was suggested so programmers may submit evaluatory comments within the thinktank, but not viewed by their peers.

 

Upload file types

 

Office 2007 is now a fully supported file type.

 

Supervisors: Automated Emails

Weekly Status Emails Added

Weekly emails will be automatically sent each Sunday night / Monday morning, giving each supervisor who elects to receive them, a status of where their programs are.

 

Available by September 1, 2009, Automated Program Approval emails, sent from "Thinktank Central", will now allow the "reply to" function. Each reply will be sent to the Supervisor who initiated the communications.

 

Approve Programs - use your Phone

Available by September 1, 2009, Supervisors will be able to approve programs using their phone. An automated email will be sent to their phone, which includes a link to ThinktankMobile. This application will allow supervisors to view the program information submitted (text only, no uploaded documents will be available). Once they review the information, they may choose to Approve, or mark as Pending Revision.

 

 

Browser Compatibility, IE 8.0

 

Our interface is compatible with the new release of IE 8.0. It currently is compatible with IE 6.0, 7.0; Firefox 2, 3x, , Mozilla 1.0, Safari 1.0 , Opera 9.x

 

 

Alphabetizing by First Name or Last Name

 

We have implemented the global option for your thinktank to list your users by
Last, First --or-- First Last.
